32 Battalion VA Involvement

Since becoming aware of the deteriorating conditions in Pomfret the VA involvement over the past 2 years has been quite significant and together with the "Friends" of 32, the VA prides itself  in having played a fundamental role in initiating an Appeal which has provided a considerable measure of relief in current communal issues.

To date R73 300 has been donated by members and friends. Of this, R27 000 was for the school's vocational tour (first ever in the history of the school), R13 000 for school equipment, R 3 300 for equipment at the orphanage, R 5 000 towards transport and R25 000 for legal costs. Besides the financial assistance other donations such as food and clothing, a DVD player with DVD's for the crèche, 10 computers for the school and 1 for the town committee is included in the list of VA & "Friends" donations for the community.

Committee members and "Friends of 32" have further taken considerable time from their family and work commitments to commute to Pomfret to coordinate and offer assistance.

We TRULY APPRECIATE AND Thank all those involved!!
